Client Need:
As a leading industry professional in the music and education spaces, Alex needed a website that would showcase his second release with well known music industry publisher Hudson Music. Along with showcasing his second release, Alex also needed a way to draw in more clients for lessons and drum clinics.
Design Approach:
My design approach included a meeting with the client in order to figure out what colors, images, audio and visuals would be included along with making sure the newest drum book release was prominent. As a 17 year music industry professional drummer / educator myself, I also understood what needed to be involved in the design.
Upon the client request, we went with a dark color scheme, showcasing the book on the front page of the site, showcasing the audio and visual pages in an eye catching way and made sure to include as many testimonials on the book page from other leading drum professionals in the industry. Landing Page:
Alex was the receipient of a prestigious drum award with Drumeo, a drum focused information channel for drummers of all levels from beginner to professional. He wanted his award picture front and center on his landing page.
Book Purchase Page:
The second book was the primary focus of this page and we highlighted the educational impact of the book with leading industry professional testimonials.

Alex has been featured on over 150 albums and this is a snippet of that page showing albums he’s recorded on in various genres.
About Page:
Highlighting Alex’s professional image and his years of experience behind the kit and in the industry was the focus of this page. We accomplished that with a dynamic, powerful photo on the left and a strong bio on the right side of the page.
Video Page
Alex is a trained musician with a degree from New York University, specializing in classical and jazz and progressive metal. We wanted to highlight that with this video page showing his most impressive drum solo work.
Contact Page:
Alex’s clients are on the go and busy in their own music careers so a simple easy to fill in contact form was the approach for this page.
Project Outcome:
Alex had an increase of over 75% drum clinic attendance following the book release as evidenced by ticket sales. The book has also been rated number three on Amazon under music education.
